Events 2018-19

War Memorials Trust presents details of 2018-19 events.

WMT AGM: Monday 8th October 2018

The 2018 AGM took place at St Sepulchre-without-Newgate Church, Holborn Viaduct, London EC1A 2DQ. Registration and refreshments started at 4.30pm followed by the AGM between 5pm-5.30pm. Professor Gary Sheffield then talked about ‘How and Why the First World War came to an end?’ examining the role of the British and other armies in defeating the Germans on the Western Front, paying particular attention to the role of new technologies and evolving doctrine as well as the war at sea; the resilience and otherwise of the home fronts; and the role of politics and revolution.

The AGM was free to members, with anyone wishing to attend the lecture purchasing a ticket with funds supporting the work of the Trust.
