Directory of Social Change’s Great Giving Funders Award 2017

War Memorials Trust was delighted to win the Directory of Social Change Great Giving Funders Award on 23rd February 2017. The award recognised funders which demonstrate a clear understanding of their beneficiaries and the funding environment and are committed to improving grant making by giving clear guidance and support. To win the award in 2017, the 20th anniversary of the foundation of the charity, was a wonderful recognition of War Memorials Trust’s work in supporting communities across the UK conserve and protect their war memorials.

Current Archaeology Awards 2017 - Book of the Year

WMT contributed a chapter to the book 'The Home Front in Britain 1914-18- An Archaeological Handbook’ which was nominated for Book of the Year at the 9th Current Archaeology Awards in 2017.
