Akroydon WWII war memorial © Boothtown Methodist Church, 2005Boothtown Methodist Church on Boothtown Road in Halifax houses memorials moved into the Church from Akroydon Methodist Church in 1965. The Second World War fallen from the congregation are remembered on a plaque (WM3887). A communion table was chosen to remember the First World War fallen (WM3886). Alongside these is a brass war memorial plaque remembering members of Boothtown Methodist Church and its Sunday school who fell in both World Wars (WM1521).

In 2005, War Memorials Trust gave £40 towards works to all three plaques. The Boothtown memorial and the Akroydon memorial plaque for World War II were remounted whilst the World War I Akroydon memorial communion table had casters added.

Following the work on the memorials they were placed on display in a small chapel area of the church.
