WMT AGM and Talk by Professor Sir Hew Strachan

Monday 18th Nov 2019

This year’s AGM will take place at St Sepulchre-without-Newgate Church, Holborn Viaduct, London EC1A 2DQ on Monday 18th November 2019.

The AGM will begin at 5.00pm and continue until 6.30pm. There will then be a short break for refreshments, after which our guest speaker, the eminent historian Professor Sir Hew Strachan, DL, FRSE, FRHistS, FBA will deliver a talk on 'What we have learnt from the centenary of the First World War'. In addition to his distinguished academic career, Sir Hew chaired the Imperial War Museums First World War Galleries Advisory Panel and sat on the Scottish Commemorations Panel over the World War I centenary period, leaving him uniquely well-placed to discuss the lessons of the centenary.

Drinks will be available between the AGM and talk, then following the talk there will be a drinks reception, which we expect to end by 8.00pm.

The AGM is free to members, while those wishing to attend the lecture will need to purchase a ticket supporting the work of the Trust. The price of a member's ticket for the talk and reception is £10, while the non-members' price is £25 and includes a year's membership of the charity.

To reserve your place at the AGM (open only to members) or book a ticket for the talk please use the form included in the August Bulletin or call us on 020 7834 0200. Alternatively you can book a ticket via Eventbrite.
