Volunteer

War Memorials Trust welcomes volunteers to support its work protecting and conserving war memorials in the UK.

War Memorials Online Contributors

Anyone can contribute to the website War Memorials Online which is seeking to create a greater understanding of the condition of war memorials in the UK. Your content is vital. Register to contribute information or explore the site to find out more about war memorials.

Office Volunteers

From time to time, the Trust has Office Volunteer roles based in the Trust's office in London.  These roles will be advertised here when available.  If you have any questions about becoming an Office Volunteer, then please contact 0300 123 0764 / 020 7834 0200 or info@warmemorials.org.

Regional Volunteers

We are currently not accepting new applications for the Regional Volunteer role. As the charity we are going through a transition period with the end of the centenary of World War I. One-off additional government funding has ended but enquiries and applications still remain high. As such we are having to focus our resources on key areas having seen staff number reduce by around 50% over recent months. We are regularly assessing our position in regard to the Regional Volunteer role and will update this page when we can.

However, this does not mean you cannot volunteer. War Memorials Online relies on the efforts of volunteer Contributors so please do register and get involved that way to support the protection and conservation of the UK's war memorial heritage. Use the Can you help? filter to find those cases the Trust needs information on.

Traditionally, if you are based around the UK the charity has the role of Regional Volunteer which is a means through which you can contribute to the Trust's work wherever you are.  Visit the Becoming a Regional Volunteer page in this section for further information or contact 0300 123 0764 / 020 7834 0200 or info@warmemorials.org.
