It is located in Sough Park. The cenotaph stands on an octagonal plinth and projecting steps, on which are set four stones each containing a bronze plaque dedicated to the fallen of Second World War. The cenotaph is topped by a carved stone interpretation of an eternal flame and on each face is carved Earby war memorial © Pendle Borough Council, 2012cross decorations and scrolls, above which are lion heads in relief.

In 2013 War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £2,500 towards conservation of the memorial. This included cleaning using a DOFF steam cleaning system, removal of previous inappropriate cement mortar and replacement with a hydraulic lime mortar. The bronze plaques were cleaned, selectively re-patinated and waxed using a microcrystalline wax for protection.
