Weston war memorial lychgate is located at the entrance to the churchyard of Weston St Mary churchyard in Spalding, Lincolnshire. The lychgate is an ornate oak-framed structure with a solid oak carved figure of St George on the front face. It has bronze plaques to each side of the upright timber posts with inscriptions dedicated to the fallen of the Parish who died fighting in World War I and World War II. The lychgate forms part of the curtilage of the Grade II listed Church.
In 2012, a grant of £427.00 was offered through the Small Grants Scheme towards the costs of re-thatching the roof, which had fallen into a state of disrepair. This involved the removal of the old netting and old thatch. The timbers were inspected and a tilted filet was fitted to allow for the laying of the new straw. The water read was set down and fixed with galvanized steel mesh and hooks. A long straw was used for the ornamental ridges, spars and liggers. The thatch is held in place with a heavy duty netting.
The memorial lychgate was constructed in 1921 and was paid for through public subscription.
