Hadley war memorial stands on Manse Road, accessed via entrance gates to an elevated, fenced and paved area with garden. The Aberdeen granite obelisk is around 12ft high with incised and painted lettering with the names of those who died in both World Wars.
In 2005, War Memorials Trust gave £500 towards cleaning stonework, re-pointing lettering and hard landscaping works.
The memorial was erected in 1953, unveiled by Colonel Sankey. A committee had been formed in 1919 but it took the village 34 years to secure the funding required and identify an appropriate location.
