The war memorial in the village of Longstanton, Cambridgeshire, is a plain cross on a pillar, standing on a double plinth and a four-stepped base within a gravelled area in the churchyard of All Saint’s on the High Street.
In 2004/5 English Heritage and the Wolfson Foundation offered a grant of £520 towards work to clean with water and biocide if necessary, to rake out open and defective joints and re-point them, to re-paint the incised letters and to check on structural soundness.
The inscription on the front of the plinth reads:
"In honoured memory
of the
men of Longstanton
who gave their lives
in the Great War 1914 -1918
Sidney Crisp
William Thomas Hard
Leonard Jellings
Ernest George North
Albert James Phillips
Ernest Phillips
William A. Phypers

The names of the fallen of World War II have been added to the side face of the plinth:
"1939 – 1945
Frederick Keep
Cyril S. Wayman
Frederick E. Wayman"
