The memorial in Radlett, southern Hertfordshire, takes the form of a tall Portland stone monument composed of a cross and ball finial on a pillar with a capital, all of which stands on a plinth and a three-stepped octagonal base. Names are inscribed around the faces of the plinth; there is also a quotation from Shakespeare on one of the faces. On the capital, on opposite faces, are inscribed the dates 1914 and 1918 and some text. The memorial stands on the pavement beside Watling Street, near the station.
In 2008/9 English Heritage and the Wolfson Foundation allocated £3,580 towards work to clean the memorial and to rake out and re-point joints where necessary.
The inscription on the capital reads
"The men of Radlett who died for their country"
and the quotation on one of the faces of the plinth
"Awake
remembrance
of these
valiant dead
Henry V"
