This war memorial garden is located on the corner of Bullenshaw Road, Hemsworth, West Yorkshire and originally contained a plaque, flagpole and benches.
In 2008 War Memorials Trust granted £2,300 towards works to the memorial garden which included the removal of a hedge and low stone wall and a replacement 5ft high wall to match the existing wall. This new wall contains plaques which commemorate those killed in World War II and subsequent conflicts in gilded lettering.
The inscription on the original plaque located with the flagpole reads:
To the memory of those who gave their lives
in the service of their Country
