This memorial is a limestone cross in Cynwyd Cemetery, Corwen, Denbighshire, Wales. It was affected by lichen growth and there were some weathered parts of stone. Also, previous repairs in hard cement were liable to cause dampness and decay.
War Memorials Trust gave a grant of £750 to steam clean the surface and apply a biocide to keep lichen away. Stone repairs and re-pointing were carried out and some of the lettering was repainted.
It is thought the memorial was erected in the 1920s. The inscriptions read:
Er
Sprihon Gof
am y dewrion or
Plwyf hwn a
qollodd eu bywyd
yn y Rhyfel Mowr
1914-1918.
