Northbourne war memorial cross © Michael P. Coyle, 2010Northbourne war memorial cross stands in the Garden of Rest at St Peter's Church on Newslands Avenue, in Didcot. The wheel cross stands on a two-stepped base upon which inscriptions and names are carved.

In 2001, War Memorials Trust supported a project to secure the foundations of the war memorial and undertake some re-lettering work with a grant of £200.

The memorial was originally sited outside the former St Peter's Church on Church Street. It was unveiled and dedicated on 15th May 1921.

The inscription on the cross reads:

"In grateful
memory of
the men of Northbourne
who gave their lives
for their country in the
Great War 1914-1919
