Hillesley war memorial © W Hanna 2009Hillesley war memorial cross is constructed of Cotswold stone. The cross stands on an octangonal plinth upon 3 steps. The memorial inscription can be read from the sides of the plinth while fleur de lys decorate the arms of the cross.The memorial is located on the Village Green in Alderley Road.

Hillesley war memorial © W Hanna 2009In 2002 the Small Grant Scheme gave £250 towards the costs of cleaning and repairing the cross.

In 2013 War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £290 towards replacement of the hardstanding surrounding the memorial, which was in a poor state of repair. The replacement was carried out on a like-for-like basis.
