Dudden Hill School WWI war memorial is a copper alloy plaque mounted onto a wooden board. It was originally located in Dudden Hill Elementary School in North West London until the school closed in 1964 to become Willesden College of Technology. The plaque was removed and kept in private storage until being donated to Brent Museum and Archives in 2022.

In 2024, £650 was awarded from War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme supported by voluntary donations. It assisted a set of works to conserve the original copper alloy finish of the plaque,  mount it within a new wooden frame and create an additional brass plaque explaining the history of the war memorial. The copper alloy was in poor condition with significant corrosion having taken place. To remove this, the plaque was cleaned using a combination of distilled water and a Fuller’s Earth poultice before a protective microcrystalline wax was applied to both sides of the plaque. The completed plaque and frame were then relocated to a new permanent home in Willesden Green Library.

The memorial was dedicated in October 1922 and originally displayed the names of 87 names of ‘Old Boys’ who had dies during World War I. After World War II, further names of ex pupils that had died during that conflict were added to the original wooden surround which have subsequently been lost.
