Castle Bromwich war memorial comprises an altar of remembrance of limestone construction, the whole stands on a single-step base. The form of the altar is rectangular and the dedication and names of the Fallen are incised on marble plaques with gold lettering, added circa 2010. The memorial sits within a small garden surrounded by a low limestone constructed wall on the village green of Castle Bromwich.

The memorial was designed by architect Charles Edward Bateman, born 1863.

In 2024, conservation and repair works were carried out with a grant of £1,530 from War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme. The memorial was cleaned using a DOFF steam cleaning system. The construction joints of the pedestal and the surrounding paving were carefully raked out and re-pointed using a lime mortar. The lettering was re-painted to match the original design. Although no part of the grant-funded works, the gold lettering was regilded and a protective lime shelter-coat was applied to friable areas of the stonework.

The inscription reads:
Altar Of Remembrance; They Shall Grow Not Old As We That Are Left Grow Old, the Age Shall Not Weary Them Nor The Years Condemn; At the Going Down of the Sun and in the Morning we will Remember Them; The Great War 1914 – 1918; The World War 1939 – 1945; In memory of those who have fallen in conflicts since 1945.
