Cranworth war memorial stands in the churchyard of St Mary’s in the village near Thetford, Norfolk. The white marble memorial comprises a sculpture of an angel which surmounts a plinth carrying dedications in lead lettering and the names of the fallen from World Wars I and II. It is Grade II listed by Historic England.

In 2023, the memorial received a grant of £400 through War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme towards repair works which included steam cleaning and re-pointing with lime mortar. It had been intended to repair a damaged figure but after cleaning and closer inspection it was determined that the hand was not in good enough condition to support such an intervention. The hand will be monitored as it may be possible to undertake repairs in the future to the whole hand if that deteriorates further.

The inscription reads:

To The Glory Of God And In Grateful Memory Of The Men Of Cranworth, Letton & Southburgh Who Fell In The Great War 1914-1919 (Names) Greater Love Hath No Man Than This, That A Man Lay Down His Life For His Friends Also In Grateful Memory Of The Men Who Fell In The World War 1939-1945 (Names) The Men Were Very Good Unto Us And We Were Not Hurt, They Were A Wall Unto Us Both By Night And By Day
