The Grade II listed war memorial to the Men of Mill Hill is located at The Ridgeway, Mill Hill. The memorial column is constructed of Portland stone. On each face is a raised panel with a bronze wreath. The roadside face also has an inset bronze sword and the memorial is topped by a bronze urn. The base of the memorial has bronze plaques bearing the names of the fallen.
In 2021 a grant of £4,260 was awarded for works to the memorial. These included cleaning of the stonework and bronze using steam. Following the cleaning a protective micro crystalline wax was applied to the bronze work to stop erosion, and joints within the stonework were re-pointed using lime mortar. Works were also required to the paving surrounding the memorial. The final project costs were lower than anticipated, as such the final grant payment made was for £4,100.
The memorial was designed by Frank E Whiting and was unveiled on 14th November 1920.
