St Michaels war memorial lychgate comprises a sandstone base with a vast timber-framed upper body and pitched roof with notable large local flag-stone tiles. The tie-beam of the roof is inscribed "To the glory of God and in honoured memory of those of this parish who gave their lives for their country and whose names are recorded on the tablet in the church". The rear has inscribed on the tie beam "Ye who now live on mid English Pastures green, Remember us - and think what might have been".The Grade II Listed lychgate stands on Church Lane located at the entrance to at St Michaels, Marbury churchyard.

In 2020, a grant of £3,900 was made through Grants for War Memorials grant scheme towards the repair of structural damage caused by a nearby tree. In addition, areas of damaged rainwater goods were replaced in cast-iron, and damaged stonework was repaired. The grant also helped towards the fees of a conservation-accredited architect.
