Dunchurch war memorial is a tall Latin sandstone cross on a four stepped octagonal base. It is located in The Square, Dunchurch. The memorial is grade II listed.

In 2018, a grant of £1380 was awarded through War Memorials Trust Grant Scheme. It supported repair and conservation works which included steam cleaning the memorial and re-pointing in an appropriate lime mortar. There were some small areas of damage to the stone. These were addressed using lime mortar repairs. This technique allows the maximum retention of original fabric whilst ensuring that there are no water traps on the surface which can result in further damage.

The memorial was dedicated in 1920 and World War II names were added in 1946.

The inscription on the memorial reads:

“In
ever living
memory of
the men of
Dunchurch
and
Thurlaston
who died
fighting for
faith and
freedom
in the
Great War
1914-1918

And these also died
1939-1945
in faith for freedom”.
