Beccles war memorial is a small wheel cross on top of a tall tapering column. The base is a two stepped octagonal plinth. It is located at a road junction to the north-west of Beccles and District War Memorial Hospital. The memorial is grade II listed and in South Beccles Extension conservation area.

In 2018, a grant of £1470 was awarded through War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme. It supported repair and conservation works which included a combination of hand and steam cleaning, re-pointing in lime mortar and the relaying of the gravel around the base of the memorial.

The memorial was designed by the architect Mr Gerald Coswell and built by Mr H A King. The unveiling took place on 1st October 1921. It was built by the Town Council and funded by public subscriptions.
