The Grand United Order of Oddfellows war memorial is a painted and gilded canvas mounted into an oak frame. It was originally located in Victoria Hall on Prospect Road in Bradford but when the building was sold responsibility for the memorial was taken on by Wyedean Weaving Co. Ltd who relocated it to their offices in Haworth, Keighley.
In 2018, a War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme offer of £2,000, supported by First World War Memorials Programme, was awarded at 50% of project costs to assist repair and conservation. Works included careful cleaning and repairs to small holes or damaged areas. Some structural work to help the long-term preservation was also undertaken before the memorial was hung in the Wyedean Boardroom.
The roll of honour commemorates those who went to war with a central panel remembering 'members who have made the supreme sacrifice'.
Access to the memorial is available once a year in November and by prior arrangement, with details on War Memorials Online which also has extensive photos of the works and the rededication service.
