WM10521 Radyr Allegory before works © WMT, 2017Radyr war memorial is located at the junction of Heol Isaf and Kings Road in Radyr, Cardiff. It is a limestone pillar on a two-stepped base. Atop stands a bronze sculpture allegory of Victory, a female figure holding a torch and wreath. On a platform near the base is a bronze cross with a kneeling winged child. The incised inscription commemorates those who died and those who served in World War I and II. It is a Grade II listed structure.

In 2017, a grant of £440 was awarded from War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme alongside a larger grant of £4,291 from Cadw's Grants for War Memorial scheme. The funding supported steam cleaning to make the inscriptions legible, re-pointing with lime mortar,WM10521 Radyr Allegory before works © WMT, 2017 filling of drill holes in the lettering and waxing of the bronze to protect it. As part of the In Memoriam 2014 initiative SmartWater was applied to deter theft.

The memorial was constructed in 1920/21 by W. Clarke of Llandaff, Cardiff. It was designed by a sculptor named Turner ARA and is a prototype of that erected at Northampton. It cost £500 and £185 for fixing. It was unveiled by the Earl of Plymouth in 1921.
