This memorial comprises a Latin cross superimposed on a solid wheel, on a lantern-type upper shaft, a tall, thin octagonal shaft, a square plinth and a two-stepped base. Lettering is on three faces of the plinth. The memorial is located in the churchyard of St Peter and St Paul's Church in Great Missenden.

In 2018 War Memorials Trust gave a grant of £1,130 towards the undertaking of conservation works to steam-clean the memorial using DOFF cleaning system.

The War Memorial was dedicated at a service in May 1920 held by the Bishop of Buckingham, Edward Shaw.
