Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Soldiers, Sailors and Nurses war memorial is situated on a south side retaining wall on Royal Standard House, Lenton Road, Nottingham. The memorial consists of a bronze plaque mounted on a wall commemorating those who lost their lives in the First World War.
In 2017, a grant of £1,500 was awarded through War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme towards a detailed condition survey and report with recommendations to inform necessary conservation and repair works which was undertaken by a Conservator.
In 2018, a further £3,290 was given through War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme to support repair and conservation works. The memorial was steam cleaned with a poultice applied to remove some staining. To protect the memorial it was waxed with microcrystalline wax.
The bronze plaque is headed with relief lettering. City and County shields are at the base of the plaque. There are two reliefs of laurel wreaths, one at either side of the plaque with flaming torches through the centre.
