The main component of the memorial comprises a wall-mounted rectangular granite plaque incised with the names of those who lost their lives in the Liberation of Kuwait during the Gulf War and is located in the crypt of St Paul’s Cathedral, London. In addition to the main memorial an oval Cumbrian Black granite tablet plaque sits directly below the main memorial and commemorates 5 additional individuals who lost their lives as a result of the Gulf War but who are not listed on the main memorial.

In 2016 War Memorials Trust gave a grant of £1,380 to allow an additional name to be added to the smaller plaque.

The Inscription of the main memorial reads:
In honour of those British Sailors Soldiers and Airmen who gave their lives for the liberation of Kuwait during the Gulf War August 1990 – July 1991
The names of individuals are then listed with a lower inscription at the bottom of the plaque which reads:
At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them
