In 2005, War Memorials Trust gave £225 towards repairing the railings which protect the war memorial.

In 2018 a second grant of £500 was awarded through the War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme for the cleaning of the war memorial using a conservation approved steam cleaning method. The aim of the cleaning was to remove the build

up of lichen from the memorial so that the legibility of the inscriptions was improved.

The memorial was erected in 1924 and carries the names of the fallen of both World War I

and II.
