St Paul's Choristers war memorial after works © Chris Reynolds 2016St Paul’s Choristers war memorial is located at the north wall of the quire aisle of St Paul’s Cathedral, London. The memorial is a free-standing timber screen. The space behind it was used as a vestry by the choristers with original features including the 40 numbered hooks on which individual’s robes were once hung until the vestry relocated to the crypt in 1967. The inscription is in the form of lettering in a lighter colour wood for World War I names and gold leaf for World War II names. The memorial commemorates the names of those who died in World War I and World War II. It is Grade I listed and is located in St Paul’s Cathedral Conservation Area.

In 2015 a grant of £8,950 was awarded through the War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme towards cleaning to improve legibility of the inscriptions, repairs and consolidation.

The memorial was designed by the then Surveyor to the Fabric, the Cathedral Architect, Mervyn Macartney and made by Henry Poole. It was dedicated on 7th November 1921.
