Twineham war memorial is located at the junction of Hickstead Lane/Twineham Lane, formerly known as Slipe Corner in Twineham, West Sussex. The wheel cross is constructed of Petershead pink granite stone, on a Yorkstone plinth. The memorial commemorates the seven men who died in World War I with incised inscriptions. It is in a conservation area.
In 2015 a grant of £220 was awarded through War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme towards cleaning with water and non-metallic brushes to improve legibility and re-pointing joints with lime mortar.
The memorial was proposed in early 1919 and 
paid for by public subscription. The land was donated by Lt. Col. R.W. McKergow who lived at Twineham Grange. His involvement may have been triggered by the fact that one of the names on the memorial was that of his eldest son Dudley who was killed in September 1917. Dudley was a pilot in the Royal Flying Corps and died aged 19. The memorial was in place by March 1920 and the land given to the Parish Council.
