Mixbury war memorial before work © Mixbury PCC, 2014The memorial consists of a freestanding stone cross which surmounts a rectangular plinth incised with inscriptions and relief decorative borders raised on a two stepped base. The memorial is located in the All Saints Mixbury Church yard.

In 2015 War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £2,110 for repair and conservation work. The memorial was covered with soiling and biological Mixbury war memorial after work © Mixbury PCC, 2015growth and along with the deterioration of the stone the inscriptions were difficult to read. In addition a number of the construction joints had either cracked or missing mortar. To address these issues the memorial was cleaned with water and natural bristle brushes, the construction joints were re-pointed with a lime based mortar and the inscriptions are sharpened by hand to improve the legibility.

Unfortunately little is known about the history of the Mixbury war memorial.
