The memorial consists of a freestanding stone cross which surmounts a rectangular plinth incised with inscriptions and relief decorative borders raised on a two stepped base. The memorial is located in the All Saints Mixbury Church yard.
In 2015 War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £2,110 for repair and conservation work. The memorial was covered with soiling and biological
growth and along with the deterioration of the stone the inscriptions were difficult to read. In addition a number of the construction joints had either cracked or missing mortar. To address these issues the memorial was cleaned with water and natural bristle brushes, the construction joints were re-pointed with a lime based mortar and the inscriptions are sharpened by hand to improve the legibility.
Unfortunately little is known about the history of the Mixbury war memorial.
