Preesall war memorial is located on Lancaster Road and takes the form of a cross. The memorial is formed of a stepped base, plinth, shaft and Latin cross. The inscriptions appear on bronze plaques fixed to the plinth and commemorate the fallen of the First and Second World Wars.
In 2014 War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £600 towards the conservation of this memorial. The path surrounding the memorial, which gave access to the memorial had become unstable and needed to be replaced. The concrete path was replaced on a like-for-like basis and adequate protection was given to the memorial during the works so damage to the memorial was prevented.
