Warmley war memorial is located in Memorial Park on Deanery Road. The memorial is formed of a three stepped base surmounted by a plinth, tapering shaft, orb and small Latin cross. The inscriptions appear on bronze plaques fixed to the plinth and commemorate the fallen of the First and Second World Wars. There are also inscriptions incised in the stone and painted.
In 2014, War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £1,011 towards the conservation of this war memorial. The memorial was discoloured due to organic growth so the memorial was steam cleaned, open joints were re-pointed using lime mortar coloured to match the stonework, the concrete base was repaired and a new anti-theft stud was supplied to replace a missing fixing. SmartWater solution was applied to the metal elements of the memorial. The grant was reduced due to an
alteration in methods approved in the Grant Contract, in addition to steam cleaning, the memorial was also cleaned with stainless steel brushes, which can be
damaging.
Warley war memorial was unveiled on Saturday 14th August 1920 by Lady Goldney and dedicated by J. G. Tetley (Archdeacon of Bristol).
