Rusper war memorial © R Butler, 2012This war memorial consists of a stone obelisk erected on a square die block set upon an octagonal plinth. There is an inscribed panel set into four faces of the die which are inscribed with the names of the men of Rusper who lost their lives in World War I and World War II.

In 2013 War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £372 towards cleaning, re-pointing and works to the lettering of the memorial. The cleaning was undertaken using natural bristle brushes and non-toxic detergent. The re-pointing was carried out using a lime mortar and the name panels were lightly cleaned and the letters were re-blackened where required.

Rusper war memorial © R Butler, 2013The memorial was dedicated on 21st August 1921 and was re-dedicated following the addition of names after the end of World War II.
