This war memorial stands in St Lawrence’s Churchyard. It takes the form of a Latin cross which is mounted on top of a tall hexagonal shaft set on a square plinth and a two stepped base, all constructed from Limestone. The memorial is dedicated to the men of the Parish who fell in World War I.
In 2012, War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £830 towards the replacement of the concrete hardstanding surrounding the war memorial in order to improve access to the memorial. The hardstanding was replaced on a like-for-like basis.
The memorial was constructed in 1927.
The inscription reads:
To the memory of the West Wycombe men who laid down their lives in the
Great War 1914 - 1918
and whose names are recorded in the parish church.
Live thou for England,
we for England died
