Little Snoring war memorial © J Otte, 2012This war memorial consists of a square limestone plinth on a two stepped base, topped by a small stone Latin cross. It is located in St Andrew’s Church yard, Little Snoring.

In 2012, War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £215 towards conservation work under the Small Grants Scheme. The works involved removing the algae, moss and other deposits from the surface of the memorial using hand tools then re-painting the lettering using a black enamel paint to improve legibility.

The inscription on the memorial reads:

Little Snoring war memorial © J Otte, 2012In
grateful memory
of
the men of this Parish
who gave their lives
in the Great War
1914 – 1919

They were a wall
unto us both
by night and day
