Halse war memorial © Halse PC, 2011This memorial consists of a Latin cross on a three stepped base and a large square plinth, all constructed from Limestone. There is a bronze inscription plaque at the base of the memorial commemorating the men of the Parish who died in service during World War I and World War II.

In 2012 War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £250 towards the re-pointing of the memorial joints, which were first raked out using hand tools to remove loose and defective mortar, then a lime mortar mix which was colour matched to the stone was used. Lime mortar will take a few weeks to prove once it has been applied, during which time it will change colour and mellow down considerably as it sets. SmartWater was applied to the bronze plaque as part of the In Memoriam 2014 project.
