Stanton Harcourt war memorial after cleaning © Stanton Harcourt Parish Council, 2010Stanton Harcourt war memorial is a market cross located in the Churchyard of St Michael’s. The cross is made of local limestone and is composed of a large two-tiered square base which is surmounted by a chamfered plinth. On the plinth stands the shaft of the cross which is topped by the carved roofed structure with carvings in each face including the crucifixion of Christ. The lettering is incised into both levels of the base. The Church is Grade I listed.

In 2009, War Memorials Trust gave a grant of £1,875 towards repair and conservation works to the memorial.
