This war memorial consists of a limestone cenotaph with two white marble inscription tablets on the front face of the memorial bearing the names of the fallen from World War I and World War II.
In 2012, War Memorials Trust gave a grant of £830.00 for the re-pointing of the joints of the memorial. The existing loose or defective mortar was raked out by hand, and the joints were re-pointed using a lime mortar mix. Any sound mortar was left in situ in order to avoid any unnecessary damage to the memorial.
The memorial was built and dedicated in 1922 by First World War Army Officer General Montgonery of Petre Pant Hall near Gobowen. It was re-dedicated in 1990 following a project to clean the memorial.
