Path prior to works © Aylsham Community Partnership, 2009This war memorial is a rough granite wheel cross on moulded square plinth, with two shallow steps at the base. The memorial is located in St Michael & All Angels Churchyard and is reached via a path.

The main issue with the memorial was that it was inaccessible due to the path being in bad condition and there being two steps which prevented wheelchairs from reaching the memorial. War Memorials Trust gave a grant of £2,178 towards improving the path surface and replacing the steps with a ramp.

The memorial was dedicated in 1922. It is thought to have been built by Cornish and Gammer, a firm in North Walsham, Norfolk.
