Weymouth cenotaph is constructed of Portland stone with bronze plaques. It stands on the Esplanade overlooking the sea and records several hundred service personnel who fell in the World Wars.

In 2006 War Memorials Trust gave a grant of £100 towards the cost of works to add 3 names to the list of the fallen. New bronze plaques were created and fixed to the memorial following the style of the originals. These were added as closely to the alphabetical order used on the memorial as possible.

The memorial was unveiled and dedicated on 6th November 1921. Plaques to remember the fallen of the Second World War were added on 8th May 1949.
