Horndean column © Horndean Parish Council, 2010This war memorial is a Portland stone square column which originally supported a sculpture of a female Victory. The sculpture was made from brick and cement. Over time, water got inside the figure which caused decay and by 1964 it had to be taken down. It was replaced by an oil lamp.

The memorial is located in Memorial Square, Havant Road, Horndean, Hampshire.

Grants for War Memorials have £525 towards work to clean pollution deposits off the memorial and to repair some lead letters.

The memorial was unveiled in 1920 and was paid for by local residents. It is dedicated to those who fell in World War I and II.
