This war memorial is a grey granite wheel cross on a two stepped base. The inscriptions are incised and painted black. The memorial is set within a small square area bounded by a rock wall and filled with gravel.
The memorial is located in the churchyard of St Breaca in Breage, near Helston in Cornwall.
War Memorials Trust gave a grant of £1,435 towards access improvements. The uneven gravel path was replaced with tarmac. War Memorials Trust recognises the importance of access to memorials and ensuring that all, from the old to the young, can safely reach the war memorial to pay their respects. Access issues can be complex but in this situation the Trust was able to assist.
It is not known when the memorial was erected. It is dedicated to those from Breage, Germoe and Godolphin who died in World War I and II.
