Stibbard cross © Stibbard Parish Council, 2010This war memorial is a plain Clipsham stone Latin cross on square plinth and two stepped base. It is surrounded on the rear side by a timber fence.

The cross is located at The Pound, Wood Norton Road, Stibbard, Norfolk.

War Memorials Trust gave a grant of £936 towards the replacement of the timber fence which had become rotten.

The plans to build a memorial had begun in January 1919 when a committee was formed by local people. In April 1920, the design for a cross was chosen from a ‘catalogue’ produced by the Wayside Cross Association. The builders were Messrs F. Harrison and Messrs I.W. Fisher, both of Fakenham. The memorial was unveiled on 7th April 1920.
