Martin war memorial © Martin Parish Council, 2007The war memorial in the village of Martin in the Lincolnshire Fens is a limestone wheel cross on a slim pillar with a moulded top and base. The pillar stands on a plinth and a three-stepped square base. The plinth is inscribed on three sides with lead lettering and there is a low relief shield carved at each corner. It stands in the churchyard of Holy Trinity on the High Street.

In 2006/7 English Heritage and the Wolfson Foundation gave £537 towards work to clean the memorial, to re-point it using lime mortar, to apply masonry biocide and to repair the concrete base.

The World War I inscription reads
