The East Kent Maritime Trust undertook a project to re-fit Sundowner, a 52ft motor yacht. The Little Ship forms part of the Dunkirk 1940 war memorial in Ramsgate Harbour.

War Memorials Trust contributed £2,000 in 2004 through the David Graves Memorial Grant towards the restoration work.

Sundowner participated in the evacuation of Dunkirk, bringing troops back to Ramsgate, at the instigation of her owner, Commander Charles Lightoller (the senior surviving officer from the Titanic).
