Wonastow war memorial © Phillip Kings, 2008This war memorial is a limestone cross and it is located near to Wonastow Church, on the bend of the road from Monmouth to Dingestow, Monmouthshire, Wales.

In 2008 a problem with the site was identified. The bank of grass the memorial stood on was being affected by heavy goods vehicles. The soil had become loosened and the longterm stability of the war memorial was uncertain. War Memorials Trust gave a grant of £1,087 to build a wall to hold up the bank and preserve the foundations of the memorial.Wonastow war memorial © Philip Kings, 2009

The architect was Mr L.A. Turner and the site was donated by Sir T. Pilkington, Bart. The unveiling took place in August 1921 by Lord Treowen.

It is dedicated to those who fell in World War I.
