Dobwalls war memorial cross stands outside the memorial hall on school road. The stone cross has inscriptions and names listed on the shaft and plinths. The memorial previously stood on the A38 but was moved due to cocnerns about safety during Remembrance events due to the public gathering on the road.
War Memorials Trust gave £770 in 2006 towards the erection of new railings around the memorial. There are gates to provide access to the memorial. This was done to provide additional protection to the war memorial which is in a good condition.
The memorial remembers the fallen of both World Wars. The inscription reads:
In honoured and grateful
memory of the men who fell
in the Great War, 1914 - 1918
"Greater love hath no man than this"
1939 - 1945
