Llanfairpwllgwyngyll war memorial © Llanfairpwllgwyngyll CC, 2007This war memorial is a grey granite clock tower in Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, Anglesey, Wales. It was erected in 1932 and has bronze plaques with Welsh inscriptions dedicated to those who fell in WWI. In around 1946/7, names were added for WWII.

The stone had become very dirty with pollution and there was missing pointing. The oak door into the clock tower had also become rotten. War Memorials Trust gave a grant of £1280 to clean the masonry with steam and re-point with lime mortar. A new oak door was hung re-using the original ironmongery.
