This war memorial is located in Eastwood Park in Calow, Derbyshire. It is a plain celtic cross design with one step. The plaques were stolen between 1989 and 1992 but have since been replaced. It is not known when it was erected but most likely after the First World War and then had Second World War inscriptions added later.
There were a number of problems with the memorial including build up of dirt over the last 20 years and the poor state of the tarmac of the surrounding area. War Memorials trust gave a grant of £2015 to clean the memorial with water and soft bristle brushes, replace rusty iron fixings, clean and wax the bronze plaque. As well as this, the surrounding area was improved with new tarmac and chain link fence.
