Great Missenden war memorial plaque © Great Missenden PC, 2009This war memorial is a stone plaque on the outside wall of 52 High Street, Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire.

The inscription had become faint so War Memorials Trust gave a grant of £411 to re-paint the letters with black enamel.

The plaque includes 39 names from WWI and 12 from WWII. There is also an emblem of the Royal British Legion who put up the plaque.

The inscription reads:

1914-1919
In perpetual memory of
The men of Great Missenden
Who died for their country

1939-1945
A British Legion tribute
